Job Description

General Labor $11/hour, Split shift 11 am to 7:30 pm NO BUS LINE.

Upon qualifying for hire you receive $1/hour increase ($11/hour), and are entered into the Step wage increase program ($.25/hour every 30 days for 12 months) to $12/hour. General Labor Primary duties will be to maintain cleanliness throughout the shop and outside areas. Will also assist in organization of parts and support primary operators in the function of operator duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Collecting and disposing of garbage / cardboard, tear down wood materials and dispose of in appropriate receptacles.

•Clean and/or paint floors, machinery, safety rails and any other areas assigned.

•Sweep and mop areas as assigned.

•Pick up litter on outside grounds including cutting and disposing of weeds and brush.

•Assist in the movement of materials throughout the shop.

•Package products for shipment or unpack for use as needed.

•Organize materials or areas as directed.

•Pick up or deliver parts and materials as requested.

COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills and abilities)

•Must be able to use hand tools and read a tape measure within 1/16th of an inch.

•Should be capable of reading written communications and safety signs / warnings.

•Should understand and follow all verbal instructions.

•Ability to lift 50 lbs. of weight several times a day with the potential of lifting lighter weights more often.

•Physical requirements are to stand, sit, walk, squat and bend numerous times for an eight hour working shift or longer if overtime required.

•Needs to be able to climb up and down ladders occasionally.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

•No prior experience or education required. Will train as needed.
