We are seeking HR Generalist’s to provide support for a wide variety activities of human resources including employee relations, payroll, HR reporting, recruiting and administration of benefits. The main responsibility of the HR generalist is to advise managers, supervisors and employees in all HR practices to provide information and support about regulations, interpretation of policies and procedures, interpretation of our employee handbook and to provide general support. The HR Generalist will also work closely with the HR Central/Share Services Team. In general a HR generalist performs a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops an understanding of Business Unit(s) culture and structure to effectively partner with and support the organization.

  • Collaborates with all HR and Legal functions within the company (e.g., Recruitment, Payroll, Benefits, Legal and Management.)

  • Coordinates workers compensation administration.

  • Tracks and schedules mandated employee trainings.

  • Tracks performance management process.

  • Tracks bonus processes.

  • Participates in safety meetings/part of committee

  • Assists with Visas and Green Card processing and administration

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Supports HR leadership in providing several key services to the Business Unit in the areas of:

  • Recruiting – Partners in the preparation of job descriptions and posting open positions. Also drafting offer letters for new hires.

  • Responds to Employee Relations issues – reviews employee and manager issues and works with HR and business leadership to resolve

  • Responsible for Employee on-boarding, conducting new hire orientation and administering departure/exits.

  • Competency building – supports efforts to administer Training & Development opportunities to internal clients.

  • Supports Leaves of Absence and Workers compensation administration

  • Performs compensation and benefits administration.

  • Supports facilities management and ergonomic assessments

  • Supports organizational management through Ultipro.

  • Checks applicant references, makes job offers and initiates new hire paperwork.

  • Participates in development and execution of orientation programs and procedures for new employees.

  • Administers and explains benefits to employees, serving as liaison between insurance carriers and employees.

  • Reviews employee complaints and ensure accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues.

  • Assists Payroll Department with payroll processing and employee inquires.

  • Enters confidential personnel data into HRIS systems and assists with HR reporting.

  • Files and organize confidential employee documents as required. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years HR Generalist required

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree

  • Must have timekeeping and payroll system experience (Utlipro and Kronos a plus)

  • Must have strong technical capabilities (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Must have strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills

  • Must be capable of effectively managing confidential information and data

  • Must be ethical and follow Code of Conduct protocols

  • Must exercise diplomacy in verbal and written communication skills

  • Must have experience as a contributing member of work/project teams

1st shift Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 6:00pm

Salary will range $ 52,000 - $ 72,000
