Our client is experiencing growth in production, and is seeking self-driven employees who are engaging in a manufacturing setting. With such a rapid growth, we are in need of candidates who have some manufacturing experience and are motivated and eager to be part of a dynamic work environment.
The position is in the Fresh dept. at Chase where they make the brats. The hours are 5 AM – 2:45 PM. 


The description of the position is as follows:


OVERVIEW:
Klement Sausage Co. is a local, Milwaukee, manufacturing company that has been around for more than 60 years. Klement's is looking for passionate people interested in working in the manufacturing industry and making an impact on the community around them. Klement Sausage Co. produces a variety of hand crafted sausage products, including but not only, brats, snack sticks, and summer sausage.
This position will work in our Fresh production department working on the Westar machine to run the product line according to production and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform machine setup prior to the start of the shift
• Learn the Westar machine and focus on its line
• Be aware of quality and performance of the Westar
• Troubleshoot and work with maintenance to determine when the machine is not performing correctly
• Operate the Westar program using the operator interface
• If required, perform washouts in between product changes
• Train Machine Operators who are learning the position
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma Required
• Ability to read and write English
• Two years of experience operating manufacturing equipment and working on a production line
• Experience working in a food manufacturing plant - preferred





Responsibilities:

  • Follow all established safety, health and company policies, procedures and recognized practices
  • Operates machines or performs manual operations to produce parts
  • Reports unsafe acts and unsafe conditions to the supervisor or lead operator
  • Maintain production and quality inspection records
  • Read, understand, and follow drawings related to custom assemblies
  • Run various printing machines, basic pick and place operation with continuous quality control
  • Inspects finished product for conformance to specifications, drawings and job orders using gauges
