Maintenance Electro/Mechanical Technicians 2nd and 3rd Shift

Direct Hire $28-$30/hr. DOE - Union - Milwaukee, WI

Exciting opportunity to work for one of the most recognized and loved food industry manufacturers in the nation. You will be utilizing your electrical knowledge and experience of installing, operating, testing, troubleshooting, repairing food industry processing and packaging equipment. This will include, but not limited to: industrial controls, PLC's, instrumentation, VFD's, HMI's, and 3 phase motor circuits, and more. In planning and performing work you exhibit a thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principals of wiring, specifications, and national electrical codes.

Utilizing drawings, blueprints, schematics, tech. manuals and volt meters, you will test, troubleshoot problems on process equipment, its sub-systems, ancillary processes in all departments, fulfill, document and maintain work orders, and tech. data to include: calibrations, programming made or backed up, prints in panel, and other required record keeping. Maintain and install communication cables, power distribution, and wiring for equipment and computer systems. Perform mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance as required. Adhere to all co. policies including: safety, GMP and SOP's.

The plant environment is food industry and includes: wet or humid conditions, normal, cold (34F) or extreme cold (-10F) and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level is moderate but may be loud when working on machines. Personal Protective Equipment is supplied. Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs., acute vision, hearing, able to stand, walk, climb ladders, crouch , crawl, and more.


-H.S. diploma or equivalent

-2-5 years industrial electrical maintenance experience in food or manufacturing industry: instrumentation/automation, installation, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, repair of process equipment

-Thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principals of wiring, specifications, and national electrical codes.

-Exhibits leadership, confidence, inspires/motivates others, works well independently or in teams, cost conscious, ethical, dependable as to following instructions, management direction, initiative, observes safety and security procedures.

-Good written and verbal communication skills, bilingual preferred

-May be required to work overtime and weekends as required.

-Pass a drug screen and background check.

-Authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis


-Competitive pay and benefits. $28 - $30/hour depending upon experience

-These are 2nd and 3rd shift positions. Must be open to working weekend overtime as required.
