Job Description

Primary duties include continuation to completion, tasks assigned by other Maintenance personnel from the previous shift and Maintenance Supervisor, complete tasks submitted thru the WO system, perform basic PM to specified machines per schedule and assist shift Journeyman as required. When required by absences and temporary increases in load, will also unload chip hoppers and return to location, collect cardboard and place in bailer and collect scrap wood and place in haul-off container. QUALIFICATIONS: SKILLS •Ability to operate material-handling equipment (such as forklifts, scissor-lifts, etc.) •Strong math and mechanical skills and the ability to read, write and process instructions from all sources, •Ability to perform light millwright, machining, carpentry, plumbing and sheet metal forming tasks as assigned by Maintenance and Shift Supervisor. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Completion of a 2 year relevant technical school curriculum and 3 years of maintenance department experience or 10 years of experience in a maintenance department in a similar factory setting.
