Location: Mill Rd., Milwaukee

GENERAL FUNCTION: The Production Manager is responsible for and oversees all aspects of powder production manufacturing to ensure good quality while meeting customer demand, and ensures the powder manufacturing department operates in a profitable manner.  


1) Manages, coaches and mentors Supervisors on all 3 shifts, providing direction to all production activities, including small batch on all 3 shifts, and weekends to meet scheduled demand. Spends time on all shifts and mandatory weekends as well.

2) Responsible for achieving process improvement thru project management, working with Engineering, teaching & coaching the supervisors & Group Leaders (the next Supervisors)

3) Responsible for maintaining all safety requirements & rules within the department. Ensure the production department complies with all ISO requirements.

4) Responsible to work with other departments (Scheduling/Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, QC and R&D) as a team to achieve positive results

5) Must participate in the interview & review processes for all production personnel, and other duties & responsibilities as assigned.


High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing and supervision, with powder coating experience (quality and formulations) preferred)

Expertise with production and laboratory equipment

Excellent computer skills, communication and problem solving skills, excels and promote a team environment

and able to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner


While performing the duties of this job, this Manager is frequently required to talk and/or hear, stand and/or walk, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects or controls and move from place to place, regularly required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulders, and occasionally must use foot/feet to operate machinery, climb or balance and reach above the shoulders. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. and occasionally up to 100lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.


The employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles, occasionally exposed to humid conditions (non-weather) and may be occasionally exposed to hazardous materials, as well as, occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
