Job Description

The Operations Technician 2 will serve as a key production quality team member to ensure in process quality requirements are being met. In support of the Company's quest for innovation, the OT2 will strive to improve their work, our team, and our environment through genuine teamwork, a positive attitude, and open communication, using a safe, practical, hands-on approach.

What we need you to accomplish:

. Perform in process inspections, measurements, audit auxiliary equipment and test to meet or exceed customer specifications. Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

. Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively participating in the safe work of others and the safety of the overall environment.

. Participate in and support continuous improvement efforts throughout the plant. Sustain 6S program in the production cells, supporting team members and reporting repeat variation to leadership.

. Record defects and scrap according to scrap and defects process, rework, labels change, spec sheet and regrind as necessary after appropriate sign off.

. Actively work to minimize Quality Returns, Quality Holds, and Resin Loss. Work with appropriate team members to prevent contamination, create a corrective action.

. Identify and notified leadership of nonconforming product, placing product onto hold per hold process, participate in corrective action.

. Follow up any rework activities to assure that it is performed correctly and in a timely manner.

. Assist in qualifications of new bottles and reviewing the requirements with line members.

. Be able to operate and maintain quality equipment (weight scales, leak detectors, etc…).

. Identify root cause analysis and process control implementation to ultimately support sustainability.

. Perform other miscellaneous support work to enable the team to be successful and as requested by plant

High School diploma or equivalent required.

. At least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment participating in quality control practices, with a preference for plastics manufacturing experience.

. At least one (1) year experience interpreting specification sheets and using quality tools, such as a caliper, in a manufacturing or laboratory setting required.

. Demonstrated math and measurement skills with attention to detail.

. Demonstrated time management skills.

. Exhibit excellent decision-making skills

. Ability to work independently with little supervision.

. Ability to work in a team environment.

. Prior experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is preferred.

. Must be able to operate sensitive technical equipment related to the job in the work cell.

. Must be able to read and write in English to accurately identify packing information, follow work instructions and QA alerts.

Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift or carry parts, material and product of up to 30 pounds.

Must be able to grasp, pinch, reach, finger, pick, or otherwise work with fingers, hands and arms for regular tasks.

Must laugh at jokes and enjoy attempts at humor from other members, no matter how feeble.

Must be able to wear eye and hearing protection and operate effectively in temperatures ranging from 60 to 110 F.

Must climb steps, maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling, have good hand/eye coordination, stoop, and bend. Must be capable of visually detecting defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects as real.
