Job Description

2nd shift 3pm to 11pm pay rate $14hr + based on Experience

Position Overview:

This is a working lead position and will involve spending most of the time working on sanitation duties. Trained in each position of the assigned area. Help troubleshoot issues in the plant regarding sanitation. Assist in verification that sanitation personnel are adhering to proper GMPs, practices, and defined procedures. May assist with special projects during slower periods. Reports to the Assistant Plant Manager.

Supervises/Oversee General Sanitation Team

Major Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning tasks and oversee cleaning personnel in Production, Packaging and Pan Room areas.

  • Verify that all cleaning is meeting RDK standards through visual inspections.

  • Verify that all necessary documentation is being recorded.

  • Perform general inspections of sanitation equipment and report any repair needs to maintenance.

  • Oversee necessary changes among employees to achieve RDK quality and efficiency standards.

  • Food and Personnel Safety Related Job Duties

  • Supervision of Sanitation activities of any sanitation employees.

  • Train any sanitation employees in proper cleaning SOPs as well as chemical safety.

  • Assure proper GMP and Chemical PPE is being utilized at all times.

  • You must notify QA and Management of any food safety issues or concerns.

  • Act as a backup to the following titles/roles in case of absence

  • Assigned by Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager.

  • Any tasks assigned by Plant Manager or Assistant Plant Manager.

Required Training

  • Food safety, Personnel safety and Positional training

Requirements:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs

  • 5 Panel DT

  • 1-3 years Experience in a Food Environment

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Ability to read / write English effectively.

  • Ability to perform mathematics – addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages

  • Ability to work in warm environments

  • Ability to manage and supervise people

  • Ability to troubleshoot in supervision of personnel as well as mechanical.

  • Initiative in accepting responsibility and able to function with minimal supervision.
