 The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the proper functioning of the facility’s Shipping and Receiving departments to ensure the ability to support the manufacture of customer’s orders to their specifications.


  • Do or assign and instruct others in the receiving of raw materials and non-raw materials

  • Do or assign and instruct others in the assembling of Finished Goods shipments to customers

  • Ensure shipping/receiving transactions in system are accurate.  Address discrepancies.

  • Ensure warehouse locator system is accurate.  Address discrepancies.

  • Oversees facility’s shipping/receiving supplies.

  • Process improvements as relates to efficient movement of products

  • Responsible for team’s compliance with 6S programs, safety and environmental requirements

  • Create documents such as bills of lading, airway bills, commercial invoices, NAFTA and other export declarations with accuracy.

  • Any and all freight claims due to damages or service failures require documentation and follow-up to minimize negative impact to Division or Hentzen Coatings.

  • Conduct departmental training as required

  • As part of the housekeeping procedures, the employee may be involved with the disposal of hazardous waste. The initial training of how to properly dispose of hazardous waste will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator or the department supervisor. Annual training of the same will be performed by the Environmental and Safety Coordinator.

  • Responsible for adherence to safety rules by all direct reports, promoting safe work practices, coaching and any necessary safety training required in addition to that provided by the corporate safety trainer. Also is responsible for stopping and reporting any safety violations when observed throughout the facility.

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Preferred education level: High school diploma plus Associates degree from a two-year technical college or  a 4-year university or equivalent experience strongly preferred

  • Familiar with DOT/IATA/IMDG regulations for hazardous materials.   

  • Knowledge of HAZ-MAT shipping regulations

  • DOT/HAZ-MAT/IATA certifications preferred

  • Forklift certification strongly preferred

  • Understands freight rates, load procedures, and weight limitations

  • Willing to work in a team environment

  • Good math and analytical skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner


The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 65 pounds while performing duties relating to the shipping/receiving functions.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


The employee is frequently exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic and caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock if safety protocol is not followed.  The employee is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions and work in high precarious places.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud while working in proximity to production equipment.

Personal Protection Equipment is required such as safety shoes, flame retardant uniforms and safety glasses while handling certain raw materials.
